Carrier completes acquisition of Viessmann Climate Solutions

Carrier Global Corporation, the international leader in climate and energy solutions, has completed the acquisition of the Viessmann Climate Solutions group – one of Europe’s leading companies specialising in heat pumps, ventilation, hot water and renewable energy solutions. This transaction marks a significant step for both companies, combining over a century of innovation with a modern approach to sustainable energy.

A strategic deal in the European energy-efficiency market

The transaction is valued at approximately €12 billion and strengthens Carrier’s position as a global leader in “intelligent climate and energy solutions”. Viessmann Climate Solutions becomes part of Carrier while retaining its renowned brand, values and focus on innovative, climate-neutral solutions.

This combination creates a strong platform across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), where Thomas Heim will lead the newly formed “Residential and Light Commercial HVAC” business unit. Viessmann Group CEO Max Viessmann joins Carrier’s Board of Directors, symbolising close collaboration and a long-term partnership between the companies.

The combined company plans to accelerate the transition to sustainable climate solutions by expanding its range of heat pumps, solar panels, battery storage and home energy management solutions.
